Restylane® Injections

Restylane® and Restylane Fine Lines® can be used in conjunction or individually, and both can be combined with BOTOX® Cosmetic for even better results. BOTOX® numbs the muscles that pull the skin and create wrinkles, while Restylane diminishes the visibility of moderate wrinkles and folds, and Restylane Fine Lines fills thin and shallow creases.

Restylane® and Restylane Fine Lines®

The only difference between the products is the size of the gel particles. Larger particle formulations such as Perlane® are used for deep folds while Restylane and Restylane Fine Lines are used for moderate and minor creases and lines. The hyaluronic acid in Restylane and Restylane Fine Lines naturally occurs in skin and other tissue, and supplements the body's natural supply, which decreases with age. Restylane and Restylane Fine Lines have a variety of uses including:

• Diminishing minor to moderate wrinkles and creases in the forehead, around the eyes, nose and mouth
• Lip Augmentation

Procedure length
The length of the procedure can range between 30 minutes and 1 hour, depending on the number of areas treated.

Recovery
As very small needles are used, there is only minimal discomfort and no down-time. There may be a minor feeling of tightness in the areas surrounding the injections that will dissipate soon after treatment.

The Result
Patients treated with Restylane and Restylane Fine Lines will see a noticeable reduction in moderate and minor skin creases, and an increase in volume in areas of the face targeted for augmentation. Restylane and Restylane Fine Lines are biodegradable; as such the results are not permanent, but tend to last six months to eight months.
